Planning on leaving from Richmond VA on May 25 to visit my brother in Bay Area California. Done long distance tours in Europe and Africa but first time stateside besides rails-to-trail routes. Will do mostly camping and warm showers and stay in motels maybe every fifth night or so. I am comfortable riding up to 60-80 miles per day. (Have ridden centuries before and was pretty much useless the next day thus average two day mileage being about the same as just doing 70 miles per day.). Let me know if you are game.
BTW 54 year old male showing appropriate mileage (I am more of a traveler on a bike, rather than a cyclist traveling).
Bring lots of enthusiasm and leave ego back at home.
