Dear Warmshowers Community, we know this is a time of concern for everyone around the globe due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  In an effort to streamline communication and better address the current needs of our community in a timely manner, we are temporarily disabling the forums and directing everyone to the Warmshowers Facebook Group. Changing your member photo (screencast demo)

Here's a quick video showing how to change your member photo.

You just

  1. Click the "Edit Profile" button on the main page (or the edit "tab" on your profile page)
  2. Scroll down to where the "Upload photo" section is
  3. Choose your picture
  4. Press "Save"

You may have to press the "Refresh" button on your browser before you see the changed photo.

Uploading photo from ipad

Hi, looks like we can't upload photos from ipad / iOS :-(

Can now upload photo from ipad

The upload feature works with ipad 4 which has different photo functionality to ipad 1 (no camera) - so the function works just fine on iPads that are not dinosaurs.

I just tried uploading with

I just tried uploading with the ipad 2, with iOS 6, using Safari (it also looked like Chrome worked). It *did* have the classic problem described in the FAQ where the image didn't *appear* to immediately change, but it had in fact changed.

The last time I looked at this the iPad indeed could not upload pictures to any site. But it can now.
