We are planning our first tour for later this summer, around the Mediterranean from Naples, Italy to Barcelona, Spain. Has anyone done this route before? Would love to hear some advice, wisdom.
Hi Darcie and Jordan,
Last summer we cycled from Barcelona to Torino in 3,5 weeks with our two kids. Nice road especially in France where the eurovelo 8 is almost finished (https://www.lamediterraneeavelo.org/).
Feel free to contact us if you need any advice,
Emmanuelle
That sounds like a great route, too bad we're not allow to travel to the UE because of the virus.
Hey everyone! I’m leaving this Monday for a tour from East Texas to Portland Oregon. This is my longest tour so far & Im really excited.
If anyone has any recommendations for cool trails or places to checkout or if you can host anywhere in between, -give me a shout!

It's going to be a hot trip.
Greetings Brooke. JUST saw your post. How was your trip? I have traveled over 4.000 miles in the last 3 years. Hopefully leaving again this spring. From northern California to Yellowstone. I like to keep my sister's safe by sharing an experience I had from a Facebook friend request in a bicycle group. Beware . PM for more information. I wish YOU lots of fun times and keep pedaling. Maybe I will see YOU on the road.. happy new year
I am going to travel from Sweden (örebro) to Italy (Sardinia) crossing Germany France and Italy!
Please write me if you want to meet me, host me or join me!
Hello Gabriele,
thank you for your invitation. Do you just want to cross Germany by the shortest way or do you have time to do some extra tracs? When will you be in Germany. I`m living in Bochum, around 500 km away from the border to Denmark.
Best Regards
Martin
Well I am planning to be around there between the 6th and the 12 of July as I am directed to Bonn! So maybe we could meet!
I´m afraid that is to late for me. I´ll be in the South in the area of the Blackforest. From there I`ll cycle direction Koblenz and Bavaria.Have a good and safe trip. Martin
I live in France near Geneva, if you want to sleep, plant your tent or visit the city (or the moutain).
By the way, I'm thinking to do Norway => Athens (via Balkans, serbia, hungary, macedonia of north) during octobre / novembre!
Hi Gabriela, where are you now? We got time and a good place to stay for a few days. Respekt for your Tour!
I am packed and ready to resume my trip on the 22nd June!
Austria - Slovenia - Croatia - Serbia - Greece - Istanbul Turkey, then to th Silk Road and Pamirs! I might go a bit more west along the Mediterranean coast if the situation allows.
If any hosts are free or people would like to join then do let me know.

Hi cyclists!
A friend and me are going to continue our cycling route in the end of June. We wanted to go to Norway but as it's still "closed" we have changed plans and are going to the South-East, from Eastern Germany to the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Rumania, the Balcan, Greece, Turkey and further to Asia. We use to avoid big cities and especially love nature and smaller villages. If you have any good avise for curious places or want to get to know us, travel together or whatever we are happy to hear from you. :)
Hi Anja,
I've only been in the first step of your journey while travelling from Copenhagen to Prague. East Germany's forest area was so beautiful and enormous, but I guess it's familiar to you since you already start from there. If you're planning to go all the way to Greece, than you will cross the border in Edirne, located in northwestern Turkey. I would love to host you and your friend when you get to Istanbul if I won't be travelling at that time. Planning a trip for the end of summer, but niether I have exact dates, nor planned where to go. So maybe I hear your road stories if I'm in Istanbul on your arrival date!
Have a lovely journey!
İlker
Hi Anja and Íñigo,
I'll be travelling through the Carpathians in Romania between the 15th-30th August with a friend. Keep this date in mind and if you're around just let us know. Would be awesome to meet!
Check our planned route here.
I plan to continue my interrupted journey from Cambodia ..
On the contrary, I am pleased to host you in Poland in Bydgoszcz!
Christopher
I'm in the Netherlands and want to do an "easy" solo trip to the south and into Belgium and/or Germany in early August. Planning on camping and finding warm showers hosts if people are open to it! Anyone else want to join for a part of it?
I am also open to hosting too if you happen to be in Amsterdam
If you come along Venlo heading eastwards into germany, you are welcome.

Hey all,
Matt from Alaska
Just made it to Albuquerque, NM. Gotta buy a few things for the bike and then I'm headed to Antelope Wells to begin the Great Divide Mountain Bike Trail to the Canadian border and hopefully into Banff .
Someone come join me
If anyone in ABQ could give me a ride out to Antelope Wells I would provide all the gas and food and am definitely willing to wear PPE masks gloves etc
Hope to meet someone out there.. there are almost no sign ups this year in the trails website

Matt,
I've always wanted to do that route, I'm sure you'll have an amazing trip. Make sure you check the border conditions as you travel north. The Canadian border is closed to Americans and it doesn't look like it will be reopening soon. Good luck.

Howdy, all. I'm a noob looking for touring ideas (besides the Natchez Trace) out of Nashville. The challenge lately has been finding places to camp/set up my tent during our health crisis. Looking for any tips from y'all. Thanks and see you on the road!

Hey!
My partner and I will be riding from Bristol, UK to Poole, taking the ferry via Jersey to St Malo then heading towards Parc Naturel Régional d'Armorique, looping up to the Tour de Manche Route back to Saint Malo, and going a little further to check out Mont Saint Michel before heading back to Bristol via the St Malo-Poole ferry.
This is my first touring trip and I am excited! Any advice you've got, great campsites along any of those legs, great hosts or any other wisdom, I'm all ears!
Bonjour. Merci. Bon vélo à tous !
